Ping Pong Tournament!
Sweat For Others is hosting it's second annual ping pong tournament in November, 2010. This is a key event for SFO, and is also a lot of fun!
People are invited from all over the maritimes and any person of any age is welcome to play. No one needs to have advanced skills in the sport to be able to participate! It iss about having fun and giving back to the community.
Charity : TBD.
Venue : NRHS Gymnasium, Alma, Pictou County.
Time : 10:00am - 6:00pm.
Floor Hockey Tournament
There will be a floor hockey tournament in the spring of 2010! This is an eight team tournament split into two pools. There will be a championship cross over game at the end of the day to determine who takes home the trophy! This event focuses on the importance of people getting out and getting active, and we hope everyone takes advantage of the opportunity to stay active. Check back for more details!
The cost is $10 for anyone interested in playing.
Venue : NSCC, Stellarton, Pictou County.
When : The Spring of 2011.
Time : 11:00am - 3:00pm.
Run / Walk
The Run / Walk is an SFO trademark event. The day begins with a 10km race for anyone who wants to participate. Times will be kept and a winner will be announced. Not long there after, there will be a 5km run/walk. There is no winner and no timing involved for this part of the event. The idea is to get people out and getting active without worrying about competition. Stay tuned for more details!
The cost is $20 for the 10km race and $10 for the 5km run / walk. If someone wished to participate in both, the fee would only be $25.
