Sweat for Others was back at it for another year! We hosted our second annual ping pong tournament on November 6, 2010 to raise funds for the Pictou County Food Bank. The event was another big success and we had a lot of people out having fun and getting their sweat on. In the finals this year was an International Exchange student, Felix, butting heads against a local Pictou boy, Briley. The two were very close in skill level, although had very different techniques; in the end it was Briley that pulled through for the win. Briley was awarded with this years Sweat for Others Ping Pong 2010 trophy! Congratulations Briley!
On the fundraising side of things, the prize for the person who pledged the most money was a $300 gift card to Future Shop. A local resident, Chad, with the help of his good friend Peter, pulled through to raise the most and were awarded the card at the event. Coming second for monies raised was this years champ, Briley who took home a set of movie tickets to Empire Theatres. Great work everyone!
